Chapter 5: Base Building, Level 1

Guys, a long time without a story to tell.

That was an absolutely amazing response for the Godspeed project.  There was Mrs. Sudha Murthy, and there was Varun Agarwal. Austin Shirley made in brilliantly(a great choice, plus his routine added in wonderfully well), and Dr. Kalam always finds a place without a doubt.

I believe, with this project, you got an opportunity to know these people, you admire, more deeply. If you studied this chapter properly, one thing I can bet on is- now you know that all the great things didn't come to these people easily. They worked. There were times when they fell down, but they got back up every time, but only this time they were better and stronger than before.

Just an element of something that has inspired a generation.

Now after  this brief intro, I suppose you wonder if this chapter was meant for simply some "intrinsic motivation". No guys.

You all should know, remember, memorize and live by the:

 Second Law of Product Development:

"Never do anything that can't be marketed."

And hereby, we officially start with the product base building.

You must be remembering some kind of funny sounding(but much researched, nevertheless) positions we allotted in the beginning of this whole drill. You were supposed to execute the actions in your domains as we progressed. Here I need to point out 2 things:
  1. The team isn't as proactive as was initially meant to be. So the positions and responsibilities need to be considered again. But, we have all we need, so the result is going to come no matter what.
  2. The positions would take a more professional turn once the product is monetized. And these positions would be allotted on your current performance. And this journey won't be a piece of cake. So gear up already.
This is the Base building Level 1 initiate. The following list is what you are expected to deliver for this chapter. It is going to get tougher, and better, but designing a rocket requires a study of aerodynamics better than anyone has ever done before.
  1. Study everything about blogging, search engine optimization and monetization at shoutmeloud.com.
  2. Study designs, and what looks good in a website, and every one of you is required to mail me those 10 points that make a site really attractive according to you other than the content.
  3. A personal opinion of where you think this whole drill is headed, or where you want to channel this product personally. Study a lot online for this, and just don't mention a top-of-the-head thought to me. Understand how the 2nd law would be satisfied and then answer.
  4. Finally, mention  at least 5 points that you want to add in the product if this was your fantasy product. Add-ons can be like a forum to discuss a particular thing, a place where you share your funny side, or someplace you confess your dark side anonymously, or anything of the sorts. Research a lot again. In fact, let me know what all you studied before you came to this conclusion or suggestion.
This chapter will help you a great deal in pushing your creativity limits and , and if everything goes in place, then till chapter 12, you shall have a prototype ready.
